Climate & Environmental Justice
The Grousemont Climate Justice & Environmental Justice program supports projects that address the environmental injustices and climate impacts experienced by marginalized communities. At the heart of our grant program lies a deep concern for the planet and its inhabitants. We believe that climate and environmental action must be pursued inclusively, with solutions informed by and benefitting all people.
Grants from the Climate Justice & Environmental Justice program fund initiatives that tackle pressing issues–such as water and air quality, climate mitigation and adaptation, and toxics exposure–through a racial justice lens. The program also supports projects that empower indigenous peoples to reclaim and preserve their ancestral lands, traditions, and knowledge while addressing the unique challenges they face from climate change. We recognize how these issues intersect and seek to resource communities working toward a more equitable, racially just, and environmentally conscious world.
