Social Impact

At the Grousemont Foundation, our Social Impact portfolio embodies relational, trust-based philanthropy — powered by multi‑year grants that support BIPOC community-rooted organizations leading transformative change. Free of bureaucratic constraints, we prioritize agility and responsiveness, trusting those closest to the issues to act with wisdom, urgency, and accountability. This portfolio reflects our belief that genuine progress comes from redistributing power and resources to communities most impacted by systemic inequity.

Our Social Impact Committee deepens this commitment by focusing our affordable housing strategy on three pillars — Housing & Homelessness, Affordable Housing Development, and First-Time Homeownership — through multi-year, capacity-building grants that foster stability, generational wealth, and resilience. Our Emergent Needs strategy complements this approach with one-time grants designed to respond swiftly to challenges created by external, systemic, or societal disruptions. Together, these approaches advance both immediate needs and long-term transformation for BIPOC communities.
